The NBA will see a full schedule on Friday and there are some very intriguing match-ups in store for those who don’t really mind looking away from the biggest favourites. New Orleans Hornets, for example, will be taking on Toronto Raptors in a bid to get yet another win after beating Orlando a few days ago.
Neither team has been playing particularly well recently, but then again, neither team has enough quality to compete with the very best week in and week out. Nevertheless, it is clear that the fans were probably expecting a little bit more from them, so this is a great opportunity for both squads to deliver a late Christmas gift for their fan bases. In terms of injuries, Toronto Raptors should be able to welcome one of their better players, K. Lowry, back to the squad on Friday – and that is the only significant piece of news there is in all honesty.
The interesting thing here is that Toronto Raptors have been awful travelers so far and that might easily be the deciding factor in today’s contest. Of course, the Hornets certainly have no home fortress to boast about, but it is always better to play at home and a full arena should be cheering them on today. And, if there is anything to be deduced from the public opinion so far, it certainly seems that they are going to be supported in the pre-match betting.
